I headed up to my shed  this afternoon with not one single crafty idea in my head… absolutely blank and not a clue what I wanted to make….
So I turned to my books for some inspiration… I chose “Delight in the Details” by Lisa M Pace – ISBN 13: 978-1-59963-085-4 and on page 67 I saw a lace flower and fancied making one for myself.. and also take some nice pictures along the way 😉
So I took some lace and some vintage pearly buttons that I had bought from Etsy and made my own wee flower…
Then I sat looking around my desk wondering what else I could use to make “something”, found a couple of bits of chipboard from last week and a piece of 7 Gypsies Patterned Paper from the week before…
The butterfly punch I used last weekend was also still out on my desk, so I punched some butterflies out of an old vintage book, where the paper was lovely and aged..
then I sat and pondered looking at all the stuff on my desk and wondered what to do with it…, I had thought about making a hanging frame.. or maybe another mini book… but then thought I would do just a nice wee wall hanging.. and this is what I ended up with..
I stuck the paper down on the chipboard, then stuck down 3 butterflies with matte medium, sprinkled with glitter then dried..
Next I blended in some acrylic linen paint around the edges of the butterflies and dried that off… stitched some seam binding and more of the same lace the flower was make down onto the chipboard and adhered the flower, stamped the words “I Love You” , made a wee charm and a hanger for it et voila!
Here is a close up of the charm
