About Me

Welcome to my blog πŸ™‚

It all started back in July 2009…..with an addiction to paper and making cards!

Things have mushroom’d from there, someone opened up the big double doors to the craft world and I’m on a fabulous journey…

You will catch me most nights in my wee shed at the top of my garden, making “something”.

Thanks so much for popping round

  1. Hi Sarah,

My name is Eric and my wife, Miranda, and I have our own stationery business in Denver, CO, that we created back in December called Notable Paper Goods + Services. We sell greeting cards of all types, wedding stationery, custom business cards, journals <β€”(Coming Soon), and more.

We're looking to become more known in the stationery design industry and to possibly be featured in some stationery and wedding blogs.

    Thank you so much,

    Eric + Miranda

I LOVE your reindeer gift tags!! SO cute. Can you tell me where I can get the stamp/die set from? Thank you so much.
    Theresa

    1. Hi Theresa, you can get them from Clearly Besotted Stamps here in the UK or if you are in the US Simon Says Stamp stocks them πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Sarah,
Came upon your blog and loving every bit of it. Your work is very inspiring. I love the idea of ‘handmade’ especially when it comes to cards. It makes the card so much more special. Looking forward to more of your work. πŸ™‚

    1. Hi there, thank you so much for your kind words, I do love to make things and try as many different aspect of paper crafting as I can, you can never have too much paper after all πŸ˜‰

  4. Hey Sarah,

I have really been inspired by your blog and all the handmade crafts that you have displayed over time. I really took an interest from your Pop Up Sunday post on June 1, 2014. I work on behalf of a non-profit organization from San Diego, CA in which we seek to help underprivileged individuals. I just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to create employment and mentoring opportunities for hundreds of orphans and disabled individuals in Shanghai, China. They now have the opportunity to create handmade Chinese papercut cards! They are very beautiful cards and I feel that you would be proud of these orphans and disabled individuals if you saw the cards. If you have time, please check out these cards at renewalcards.com and let me know how you like them!

    Thanks,
    Josh

  7. Thank you, thank you, you have made my day and also never thought about using envelopes and the decorations. Brilliant I will start making them tonight. Sorry to have caused you so much trouble especially with the glue. Kind regards Pat

    1. Hi Pat…

Absolutely no problem whatsoever, and the glue exploding was quite funny, after the initial shock, i muted out the squeel I made lol

Enjoy making the books, they are so much fun and you can have so many variations, even using normal envelopes or like I used glassine bags just folded over..

Let me know how you get on making yours

I love your blog! Your cards have a very Victorian-esque style, something that I absolutely adore! I just released an ebook titled “101 Creative Card Sketches” and I was wondering if you do reviews on your blog? I couldn’t find a contact email for you, so I hope that posting this is okay.

Please let me know your thoughts on doing a review and I can send you a free promotional copy. Thanks a bunch and keep up the awesome work!

  17. Beautiful, all of it. I’m happy I found you and I’ve been snorkling your site for an hour. There’s so many places to go and things to read; inspiration to be had. I loved the snow film. We live in Florida; enough said. I’ll be back. You, and your friends, are a very witty. You’re also good artists, and certainly know your way around a computer. I can learn a lot here. Thanks for blogging. I hope we get to speak to one another some day. I’ve been to Scotland. Is that where you are, Scotland? Ireland? Now I can’t remember. Patsye

    1. Hi there Patsye and a very warm welcome to my wee corner of the blog-universe πŸ™‚

Thanks so much for your lovely message, I hope you enjoy following and have fun having a good old nose around…

I’m in Scotland, just a hop, skip and a jump from the City of Edinburgh, its snowy and cold here at the moment, just when we thought we were getting rid of all the snow that had been lying around since the end of November, mother nature decided to drop some more our way πŸ™‚

Take care and hope to see you around soon

      Sarah x

      1. Thank you Sarah. I’ve been to your fair city, and I loved every minute of it. I remember the castle well, and the sight of that small room where someone (Mary, Queen of Scots????) had babies (some small birthing room) took my breath away, and I’ve never forgotten what it looked like. It was a wonderful trip and hope to get back there someday.

And congratulations on your Stylish Blog award. I agree with Knitnstitch. Patsye

  18. AWWW your cards are so cute, luve everyone of them. Glad i have found your blog , your snow effects are awesome.
