Valentine ATCoins

Hi Everyone,

 I have a fun project to share with you today, a trio of valentine themed artist trading coins!

Now I have had these wee discs for ages, my friend Helen from Handmade at Helens gave some the last time I attended one of her workshops, so thought it was high time I made something with them!

Whimsical ATC’s

Hi Everyone!,

Coffee Filtered ATC’s

Hi there everyone… Happy Thursday to each and every one of you 🙂 I’m now officially on 4 days holiday for easter 🙂

So this evening I headed up the garden path and made some bits n bobs in my wee shed 🙂

ATC’s were on the agenda for this evening and I made 3 all live over on Ustream.. it was a hoot tonight, so a special thankyou to all the girls who came over and kept me company xoxx

Here is the first one I made and this one has its very own “holder”

and then I made the ATC to go on the inside, which I called Clockwork Rabbit

Then I made some background papers from coffee filters that joycie sent me over, I used distress inks, stampin up inks and acrylic paint watered down, whilst following the new colour charts that joyce sent over

Meet Carrot Boy 🙂 this is 1 of 2 I made this evening and this one I made specially for Joycie 🙂

and I nearly forgot to say… I made a homemade bird feeder earlier on this evening using an empty toilet roll tube

Spread with Peanut Butter then roll in crushed nuts and seeds 🙂 then thread onto a branch and the birds will love you forever ❤

the birds will be wiping their beaks on my fences after scoffing this lot 😉

Fabric ATC

Last week I brought some ink sprays and muslin fabric down from the workshop to the kitchen table and played around dying some background swatches… Tonight in the workshop I created an ATC with one of the backgrounds..

I’m still practicing with the whole sewing thing, and have loads of ideas in my head what I want things to look like, but it’ll take me a while to get there so just taking baby steps at the moment… I guess it will be like the very first cards I made, I thought they were brilliant, and when I look back now I cringe lol… This fabric ATC is the same, I love it… but a couple of years down the line I may think differently 😉

There are several layers to this ATC..

• Backing (bottom layer) is non furry hessian with a small weave
• Middle layer is grey felt
• Top Layer is ink sprayed Muslin
• Embelished with Seam binding and satin ribbon offcuts from a project i’m working on at the moment 🙂
• Its all stitched with Silver Gutterman Thread
• There’s some Bugle beads in the 4 corners attached to a small square of seam binding.

Vintage Mushroom ATC Series

It’s been a blowy / rainy kinda day here today.. in between hanging out washing and cleaning out the animals I squeezed in a bit of crafting in my workshop today 🙂

I made a set of 6 ATC’s today using the vintage mushroom collage sheets I bought online last week.

I quite fancied doing an ATC swap but wasnt sure what it all entailed,.. so i’ll do a bit of investigating and see what’s what and maybe come back later on next week with a wee swap 😉 (if your interested just give me a wee shout).

ATC’s .. Lindy’s, Birds and Postage Stamps

I’ve had a great day of crafting up in the workshop today 🙂 I’ve been up there most of the day, only coming back into the house to hang out the laundry, put another load in and feed the troops 😉

Lindy’s Stamp Gang Sprays featured a lot today, I custom dyed hydrangea flowers and seam binding to match and did about 8 different colour combinations giving me loads of ideas for new cards!  In fact I made a card for my friends sister who recently went through surgery, but I forgot to take a picture of it.. but those who kept me company on Ustream seen it I used a bird stamp from Crafty Individuals 🙂

Then I took some watercolour paper and sprayed loads of different backgrounds because in theory I wanted to make a Tie Dyed mini album… I will still make it but not with the papers and mini I covered today.. its more for a boy/space/harry potter/sciFi type mini, I’ll take pictures tomorrow and show you what I mean 😉

So what to do with all the offcuts of sprayed paper left over from the mini?  I kept them and made some ATC’s 😉

Just a Note … For You … & Spring ATC Swap!

Helloooooo .. It’s been a while! and I have been a bad blogger/crafter 😉

I’ve not been making an awful lot of anything lately, work and home are real busy at the moment and not leaving an awful lot of room for craftiness.. so what did I do?  I joined a couple of swap’s over at your paper pantry to try and get into the swing of things again 🙂

I have almost finished the Springtime ATC Swap (picture right at the bottom of this post) and I need to make a start to the Recipe Card Swap that Yolanda is hosting, just need to find out what group I’m in and how many I need to make.

I made a couple of small cards last week trying out one of the new stamps sets I’d bought, if you are interested in the supplies I used on any of the cards just send me a message here and i’ll send you a supplies list 🙂
