CASE Study Challenge #187

Today, I am entering a wee card into the CASE Study Challenge Blog, I am just getting into card challenges again to get my creativity flowing… I had a lot of fun creating the card for the challenge ..

This is the CASE Study

 

I took the following from the above case study…

• Due cut letters
• Vellum/Glassine
• Pink / Red
• Teal/Blue
• Love

and here is my card…

Supplies used :-

• Heavyweight white cardstock
• Daschund Die
• Clearly Besotted “Love” Die
• Clearly Besotted Furry Friends Stamp Set
• Pink Iridescent Sequins
• Zig 2 way glue Pen
• Hexagon Inlay Vellum
• Dylusions Fuschia and Pomegrante Ink Sprays

I dropped spots of ink over the Dacshund with the Dylusions sprays then sprayed once with water and dried with a heat gun, it gave the  diecut a tie dyed feel,so when the card is closed, you can see it through the vellum..

Patchwork Elephant

I have a couple of days off work this week, and it’s going to be a busy one!

My sister, niece and new baby fly in tonight, so I wanted to make this card to give to them whilst they are here… I don’t send cards to Mallorca, mainly because they never arrive!

Candle Gift Box and a few Eggs

I have been busy up in my workshop this evening creating this week’s DT project for Wild Orchid Crafts Youtube DT Channel…

This week’s project is a candle gift box.

My mother in law is now saving all her empty gift boxes for me to alter which is great, as I love coming up with ideas as to what to do with them 🙂

This is what this week’s project looked like “before”

 

A coat of Gesso,  a couple of licks of paint, some lace and seam binding and a couple of metal embelishments and this is what I ended up with

Vintage Valentine Concertina Frame

This is my latest project for Wild Orchid Crafts as part of their Youtube Design Team “The Wild Bunch”…

Linen and Lace Altered Notebook

I’m practicing my stitching and sewing machine skills tonight in the workshop and… i’m having so much fun 🙂 My mother in law gave me a lovely wee desktop sewing machine at the weekend

I am taking part in a mixed media material mini book swap, and I really fancied having a practice on something small before going the whole hog 😉
