Chocolate Box Toadstool

Chocolate Box Toadstool.

Hi Everyone!

Happy Sunday to you all, hope you have had a lovely crafty weekend!

Yesterday I drove all the way up to Turriff in Aberdeenshire to a fabulous wee craft shop called Madhatters, where I did a Demonstration for Indigoblu.   It was worth the 6 hours driving and 320 odd miles round trip!

madhatters

Wendy the shop owner was brilliant and kept all the ladies going with cups of tea, then we had a lovely wee buffet lunch (I even got a wee doggy bag to take with me for my drive home)!    So a special thank you to Wendy for your hospitality and fabulous wee craft shop.

I bought a couple of these toadstools, they have the best selection of decopatch shapes, boxes & things I have ever seen and just had to bring these home with me… so guess what today’s project was 😉

I used the following Indigoblu Products to transform this wee cutie!

  • Indigoblu Flitterglu, Phat Foam & Scoochie.
  • Indigoblu Chocolate Box Megaflake
  • Indigoblu Snow White Metallic Cottage Acrylic Paint
  • Indigoblu “Enjoy Life” Stamp Set .. using the “With Love” Stamp
  • Stazon Ganache Ink
  • Stitched Tag Die

Here is the wee toadstool transformed into something rather special, I love this and will be making another one very soon which will travel with me to Indigoblu Demonstrations around Scotland.

Halloween Pumpkins and Treat Holders

Hi everyone!

It has been a busy old weekend, and here I am sat on a Sunday evening catching my tail and getting up to date before another brand new sparkly week starts!

Last week I was on Shortbread making mode, I baked a lot all in aid of a fabulous cause, Macmillan Cancer Care.    My friend at work was holding a fundraising coffee morning from 10am till 12pm on Saturday, so I popped along and had tea and cakes with everyone.. what a great morning it was too, i got to catch up with many friends!

After the coffee morning I headed over to Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh where the Ross Papercraft Show was taking place from 10 till 3pm … it was a great afternoon, I got to stock up on cardstock, bought sequins, and also managed to buy a stamp and embossing folder set I had been after for a looong time from Stampers Grove, had no idea they even had it 😉

I also picked up the latest Workshop timetable … going to try and get along to some of Yvonne’s classes when I do not have a demo on for Indigoblu..  Guess what too ??

I will also be doing a few workshops for Stampers Grove in October – December !! how exciting is that!    The first workshop is on 18th October 2014 from 11am to 1pm (see below for a sneek peek)  😀 I can hardly wait, Iam all prepared and ready for it already lol … I got super organised last night and this morning

Halloween 1

Well, that’s my news for this weekend, I hope you can pop along for one of the workshops, they sure are a lot of fun and everyone is very welcoming and friendly, they certainly made me feel very welcome when I booked my very first workshop.

As always, thank you so much for popping round.

I will see you at 10am on Tuesday morning with a new project on the Indigoblu blog

Altered Indigoblu Mannequin

mannequin 1

Hellooooo……

It has been a while since my last blog post, too long, i think, but I have been busy 🙂

Today I have an altered Indigoblu mannequin /dressform to share with you…. this will be coming along to all the Indigoblu demonstrations I will be doing in the coming months.

mannequin 2

There is a cool technique used on the mannequin, whereby you stamp tissue in the ink and stamps of your choice, then apply it to the mannequin with slap it on matte..

mannequin 4

I have also used the large butterfly stamp with megaflake stamped onto vellum twice and attached them back to back to give it wings that look good from both sides..

mannequin 3

I also added various trims and embelishments from my wee craft shed to finish her off..

mannequin 6

I hope you like today’s project, now I have tackled doing one, I quite fancy making more 🙂

There will be a full supply list at the bottom of this post if you fancy having a go at making one for yourself 🙂

Wee Wooly Flower

Wee Wooly Flower.

wee wooly flower

Hi everyone!

How have you all been?

I am easing myself  back into crafting again slowly, after having spent the most wonderful time down at Indigoblu HQ doing a demonstrator course.        I have learned sooo much in my time away, and brought back so many lovely new things to craft with and ideas for projects that I want to do,  that I really don’t know where to start or what to make first!

So guess what?

I decided to make a wee wooly flower from some gorgeous Merino wool,  just to help me along the way 🙂  Love how it turned out and if I can perfect my technique and get them a wee bit skinnier, then I will make some cards with them.

I am planning to head up to my shed after tea tonight and get started with making some projects for Indigoblu.. I have a Manequin torso and stand to finish.    I also have the new christmas release stamps to play with and create a card for the Indigoblu challenge blog for this month, which is Christmas in July!

It is going to be a busy evening 🙂

As always, thank you so much for popping in

Take Some Notes…

Just  a quick post tonight with a little project to share that I have worked on and off over the last 2 days, there is a lot of different layers in this altered A5 notebook.

There are layers of gesso, paint, texture paste, embossing, enamel embossing, gilding, and dry brushing..

Like how it looks, and has also given me an idea for Christmas!   I think this would look fab with snowflakes all over it, keeping the same colour scheme etc.. I just need to remember to make one nearer the time 😉 .

Seaglass Candle Holder

Hi everyone… how are you all doing?

I have not posted anything for over a week … that’s because we had a wee holiday, we headed up to Royal Deeside, to Braemar for a few days.. recharged our batteries and chilled.  I  love getting away, travelling to new places, taking in the local scenery etc, it is good for the soul 🙂

I came home bursting with ideas and inspiration!..

This is my first project… I sorted through all my seaglass collection and gathered all the opaque white pieces to make a tealight holder.. The glass I used was recycled, it had Nutella in it beforehand, you know the one that comes with the white plastic lid 🙂

seaglasscandle

I used Pinflair gel glue to fix all my glass into position, it takes a while to dry, but is perfect for this type of project, when it dries it has a rubbery feel to it, plus it is good with heat..

Here is a view of the candle before I placed a tealight inside.

seaglass

Here is a proper look at it in the dark.. for the full effect of the beautiful seaglass

night

I am really tempted to make others, one using my aqua glass and one with my green glass collections.

I had a little play around with the 3rd image below and changed the hue / colour settings to give it a purple glow, then added a little touch of space overlay 😉

seaglasscandleglass

Well… that’s my wee post for the night, as always, thanks so much for popping round.

See you soon with more projects

Sarah 🙂
