Pom Pom Paper Clips

Hi Everyone..

I was out for lunch today at Loch Leven’s Larder and whilst we were waiting for a table, we had a browse around the shop, where they have loads of gifty things and I happened to spy pom pom paper clips, they were silver clips with white pom poms, and they were not cheap! … Β now I thought to myself, I can make them!, I have all the stuff Β in my wee shed!… I will make some when I get home, and I did πŸ™‚ and here they are πŸ˜‰

supplies list:-

  • Pom Poms – Hobbycraft sell huge bags of them
  • Paper Clips – I bought a plastic tub from Asda for Β£2 (it had paper clips and Push pins and other clips in it)
  • UHU Glue Β£1 from the Pound shop (really any glue will do use what you have to hand)

Now these a fairly inexpesive to make and look really nice and if you have kids they will go down a treat, plus I am sure they will love to have a go at making these too!

I hope that you will have a go at making some too… I’m sure your children/grandchildren will love these for when they start back at school… hey they are even great for taking into the office πŸ™‚

Leather Travel Journal

Hi Everyone!..

I bought a 3 pack of nice notepads at my local supermarket (asda) this morning because I wanted to make a travel journal… I had bought a leather bundle off Amazon about a month ago with this project in mind and also for making a few other upcoming projects too πŸ™‚

I love how it turned out.. the leather was a scrap but was big enough to cover the 3 books which were held in place with elastic hair bands and have enough to have a flap to fold over the front, which i didn’t trim and left it in the shape it was..

I have to say I do love it, but want to make another, this time actually stitching it onto the leather cover rather than with the elastic as I think I would prefer it to be more secure..

I think I will make up my own signatures for the next book too.. that should be fun and I have just the right paper in mind for it too πŸ™‚

I was going to keep this blog post for tomorrow, but I was that excited about making it that I just had to share it with you tonight!

Thanks for popping in

Pot Luck Art Journal Workshop

Hi Everyone!..

Today I am sharing 2 art journal pages with you πŸ™‚ … now if you have followed my blog for a while you will not have seen any art journal pages because I struggle with them big time!

So I headed over to Stampers Grove in Edinburgh yesterday to attend a workshop with Lorna Figures called Pot Luck Art Journaling and I really enjoyed myself… and managed to get one page finished and another page started which is a huge accomplishment and I kinda quite like the concept now.. so I am now the proud owner of a lovely new art journal, ranger apron and some Dina Wakeley Scribble Sticks πŸ™‚

First picture is my finished page using my new scribble sticks πŸ™‚
