So once it was all tidy and clean, I decided to mess it all up again and get the paints out πŸ˜‰

Summer-y Notecard

I was playing around earlier today and took a square piece of chipboard and painted it with acrylic paint then sprinkled some ultra fine glitter over the wet paint and left it to dry….. it’s been looking at me all day lol so tonight I got some fibre and glossy accented it around the edge of the chipboard, then left it to dry…

Well the glitterd painted fibred square sat and looked back at me for a while, I mulled a few ideas over in my head and came up with this…

I took a copic ciao marker YG00 and coloured in one of the white prima flowers that came in the mail this morning, stuck it onto the fibrey glitter board and attached one of the new yellow prima pearls to it..

I took some turquoise cardstock and mounted the above creation… et voila a nice wee summery notecard πŸ™‚

Supplies List :-

  • Turquoise Cardstock from The Paper Mill Shop
  • 1 x Square piece of Chipboard
  • Folkart Turquoise Acrylic Paint
  • Ultra Fine Glitter
  • 1 x Prima Flower

  • Turquoise Fibre

I Cracked Up!

Last week I had a go at doing the crackle medium and acrylic paint technique and I failed miserably…. then I found out, through watching some video tutorials on youtube that I had in fact shut the door after the horse had bolted so to speak…

I painted the acrylic paint on the chipboard first, then I applied the crackle medium….. clearly the wrong way round… you should apply the crackle medium first, allow to dry, then apply the acrylic paint lol ….. i’m such a dozy mare!!

Anyway, i’m quite happy to share my disasters here too… it’s all about learning new things πŸ™‚

So here we have 2 tags of chipboard, sent over to me from my friend Micki in the US all lovely and cracked up, just as they should be πŸ™‚ so these will be making their way into my Dogs mini album very soon

Supplies Used :-

  • 2 x chipboard Tags (Thanks Micki)
  • Plaid FolkArt Crackle Medium
  • Plaid FolkArt 902 Taffy Acrylic Paint
  • Plaid FolkArt Licorice Acrylic Paint
  • 1 x Jam Jar of Water and a wee paint brush πŸ™‚

Paint & Decoupage

It’s Easter Sunday and I just wanted to wish you all have a wonderful Easter with your Family, Friends and Loved Ones.

I have to say that today has just flown in really quickly, I tidied up my craft workshop, it was a mess :-/ you how it is.. you get so creative that you forget just how much stuff you have pulled out, used and not tidied up lol…

I uploaded a couple of videos onto YouTube of the RAK my friend Micki in South Carolina sent over for me… I just heart everything she sent me (thankyou Micki) πŸ˜€

So once the craft space was cleared I decided to have a play around and try doing some decoupage, I touched the subject lightly last night with the card I made here.

Then I got the chipboard pieces out that Debra sent me and my acrylic paint, paint daubers and crackle paint and really enjoyed doing a spot to painting…. here’s what I got up to

and finally I made this, a wee wall hanging for my workshop.. it;s bright and cheery πŸ™‚
