Here’s my Friday Night Project… I bought two of these mirrors from IKEA a very long time ago, and I had watched a video on Youtube the other day where someone had altered the very same mirror, I;ll need to look for the link and post it here,, think I saved it to my favs on Youtube… anyway, I had loads of fun making this, it took me hours and hours lol
It started off looking like this
Then I applied a coat of Gesso, a special blend of acrylic paint, that i’ve called Peach melba, had it been ice cream i’d have eaten it lol, then I took a Pearl Dauber and covered the whole thing, then another layer of the home made paint on top of that
Then I ripped up some strips of 12 x 12 patterned paper, I used Prima Flights of Fancy, and stuck them down along the edges and gave them a wash coat of a watered down version of my paint
Once I had all the paint and paper stuck down I started to embelish it … until it looked like this
Loads of mini 10mm roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and some of the Websters Pages Rosette Trim in Peach hot glued down into the shape of a heart…
I hand painted some prima flowers and also a stick pin with the peach paint and also painted over the top of a medium cream rose, and round the edges of the Adage ticket.
