Art Journal Page #2

Hi Everyone!

Just sharing an art journal page that I created in my Readers Digest Art Journal (it’s the art journal book I got down at Marta’s retreat at Handmade at Helens) 😉

Anyway.. I thought I would share art journal page number #2 with you, I am still trying to get the hang of art journaling.. I’ll keep practicing 😉

Marta Lapkowska Weekend

Pot Luck Art Journal Workshop

Hi Everyone!..

Today I am sharing 2 art journal pages with you 🙂 … now if you have followed my blog for a while you will not have seen any art journal pages because I struggle with them big time!

So I headed over to Stampers Grove in Edinburgh yesterday to attend a workshop with Lorna Figures called Pot Luck Art Journaling and I really enjoyed myself… and managed to get one page finished and another page started which is a huge accomplishment and I kinda quite like the concept now.. so I am now the proud owner of a lovely new art journal, ranger apron and some Dina Wakeley Scribble Sticks 🙂

First picture is my finished page using my new scribble sticks 🙂

and this is my second page.. not quite there yet with this one .. but I will share it again with you once I finish it and i’m happy with it.. this page I used distress oxide inks

I am on holiday now for the next two weeks so hope to be up in my shed a lot more creating lots of crafty goodness…

My next project is going to be a travel journal, I have everything I need to make one and I have been itching to get it started so watch this space 😉

Ole’ Salty Dawg (It’s a Postcard!!)

I was watching Natasha (Enastasia) stream this afternoon and I made this as I crafted along with her 🙂

It’s my very first attempt at doing an art journal page (of sorts) cause I don’t have an art journal book (yet)!   This was fun, I dont think I’d use timmy’s distress inks again as they tend to run when I applied some gel medium … guess i’ll need to invest in some archival ink!!  …*** Edited to say that after watching Rachel’s live stream this is in fact a postcard!!) who’d have thought!***…

I have absolutely no idea where the inspiration came for this… I just went with the flow and this is the outcome… in fact, It kinda reminds me of my late dad, he was in the Navy and he used to smoke cigars (bless his wee soul), wonder if he was with me in spirit up in my craft workshop today 😉
