Spring is in the Air

Hi Everyone,

Here is my latest design team project for Colourcraft with the theme for February being “spring”.

I made a hand stitched and bound book from scratch and the products incorporated in this project are :-

  • Colourcraft Acrylic Paints – White Greens, Blues and yellows
  • Colourcraft Soft Form Relief Paste in White
  • Colourcraft Acrylic Spray Mists in Blue and yellow.

“Happy Mail” New Year Stream-a-thon Project

Hi Everyone!

I am excited to share this blog post with you all today… I made the prototype for my project I am making for Jen’s New Year Stream-a-thon!Β If you click the link it will take you straight to the Facebook page that contains all the information to join in the celebrations!

I will be making a wallet and handmade cards on the night similar to the prototype I made today (shown below)… a full supplies list can be found at the bottom of this page.

You can make the wallet with me, on the night, using whatever style you choose πŸ™‚

I will be making the cards and envelopes on the night ( they will differ from the ones used to display the wallet

You can decorate the front of the wallet with whatever you have to hand / fancy πŸ™‚

Oki doki…. here is what you will need…

FOR THE WALLET COVER:

1 x 9″ x 5.5″ sheet of cardstock or thick double sided patterned paper

We will be scoring this at 4″ and 5″ (on the 9″ side”)

Ribbon (or use what you have, twine, wool, fibres)

FOR THE WALLET POCKETS:

2 x 5.75″ x 5″ cardstock + scor-tape or red line tape and patterned paper

We will be scoring each pocket at Β 0.5″ then 1″, 4.75″ + 5.25″ Β  (along the 5.75 side) then

along one of the 5″ sides at 0.5″ and again at 1″

THE CARDS:

Cardstock : the folded cards will measure 5″ x 3/5″

Patterned paper, stamps, ink and embelishments of your own choice

THE ENVELOPES:

Paper of your own choice

I love add a little spot of bokeh to photographs, it gives is such a magical feel, don’t you think?

to Heal your Heart…

Hi everyone πŸ™‚ Β Hope you all settled back into work today after the easter holidays…

I made another card similar to the one I made yesterday.. and boy was this one a marathon! it took me 3 hours to make it

There is a lot of painting, inking, machine stitching and paper cutting in it to be fair lol

So here it is

I used the paper line from Basic Grey “Hello Luscious”

There is also Glitz Design Patterned paper on the card too, mainly on the inside panels

I also used may arts lace ribbon cut in half as the closures for the card

The I added some hearts, tags and buttons to the front of the card to finish it off…

I will come back tomorrow and add a full supplies list, as its well past midnight here and I have work in the morning πŸ™‚

Vintage Easter Duo

Happy Monday to you all πŸ™‚

It has been another gloriously sunny day here in Scotland.. 20 Degrees C !! warmer than Milan here today!…. long may it continue, infact I have checked out the 5 day forecast and its looking good πŸ˜‰

Here is a wee Easter duo that I made last night after my tidy up..

 

First up a small card (left) measuring 3.5″ x 4.5″

Supplies Used :-

  • Light Green Pearlescent Cardstock that I bought from the recent Craft Fair
  • Kaisercraft Secret Bird Society 6 x 6 Patterned Paper Pack
  • Easter Bingo Cards Digital Collage Sheet from Etsy Seller iralamijashop
  • Claudine Hellmuth Sticky Back Canvas
  • Vintage Buttons
  • Linen Thread
  • Diamond Stickles
  • Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch
  • Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive and Scortape

and then we have the mini gift card.. it measures 3.5″ x 2.25″

the supplies lift for this mini gift card is the same as above with the exception of Β the stickles and I added a wee flower.

Chunky ~ the 8 x 8 Layout

Tonight’s project is the September Challenge Layout for Wild Orchid Crafts…. I made the layout live over on Ustream in the company of all my wee crafty friends πŸ™‚

I managed to combine a wee bit more sewing into this project too πŸ˜‰ seem to be getting the hang of this sewing malarky πŸ˜‰
