Blogmas Day 18

Hi Everyone!

A warm welcome to Blogmas Day 18!

I absolutely LOVE today’s wee project, it is a great idea for a last minute gift or stocking stuffer…

finished.jpg

All you need is an inexpensive picture frame, give it a wee lick of paint, add a photo and embelish the front and you have a lovely gift to give just in time for christmas..

I have a few of these wooden frames, I got mine at Stampers Grove, I have a couple left over for future projects… and you don’t even need to paint them you could use a varnish or wood stain and keep it natural

Winter Reindeer Coat of Arms

Hi Everyone…

Welcome to Blogmas Day 16

Today’s project is a Winter Reindeer Coat of Arms made from a reindeer head I bought in stampers grove and the plaque is cut from a cat food box ๐Ÿ™‚

reindeer-of-arms-1

The reindeer looked like this before I started

I took out some mod podge matte and some Papermania decopatch papers

paper-mache-paper

I painted the whole thing with white gesso as a base coat so that the papers would pop when they were glued once they covered the entire reindeer head.

The base of the head was covered in clear glitter, and I stuck some glittery snowballs on the sides pf the plaque, it was finished off with a wooden snowflake dipped in versamark ink and a coat of white encrusted embossing powder applied and when melted I sprinkled some iridescent glitter over top to make it sparkle..

and finally the reindeer was centred and stuck down onto the plaque and it’s done.

As always, thank you for popping round and I will see you all tomorrow for day 17!

Wee Wooden Snowmen

Hi everyone!

A slight change of plan for tonight’s blog post, instead of a gilded Christmas card I have some wee wooden peg snowmen to share..

These are for an upcoming workshop for Stampers Grove..

snowmen-w

They are super easy to make and easy to stick on the tree too, you just slide the pegs on the branches ..

I will have more details ย on the workshop to follow soon.. until then, thanks for popping round and i’ll see you all tomorrow

I Spy a Mince Pie!

I made this card last night, but by the time I left the workshop and wandered back down to the house, replied to all the comments over on youtube, I was too tired to do a blog post about this card, so headed off to my wee bed ๐Ÿ™‚

I got a right sore burn on the top of my middle finger last night from the hot glue gun, I’d just put a big blob of glue onto a gardenia flower, put my glue gun down, it fell off the table, I tried to catch it, forgot I was holding a glue covered flower, which resulted in it sticking to my finger…. OUCH!! … I took the flower off quickly, but it left all the hot glue on my finger, which I was blowing at furiously to try and cool it down, needless to say, the lesson has been learned, hope the neighbours were not watching lol ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway… on to the card, it’s a christmas card, made with the die cut decoupage sheets I’d bought when I got the Poinsettia Papers the other night, I’m still using scraps out my bag, I struck gold with this big pink bit of pink bazzill it must have been hiding at the back ย ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Pink Bazzill Cardstock 12 x 6, when folded makes a 6 x 6 Card
  • My Minds Eye, My Life Stories Light Pink and Kraft Tartan Paper
