Blogmas Day 22

Hi there everyone,

A very warm welcome to my blog and to Blogmas Day 22!

I have a quick and easy project for you this evening… I needed to make a gift wallet, now normally I would make these from scratch, but with time ticking on and a million and one things still needing done I opted for the quickie option and it is a good one to keep under your hat.

I used a Papermania Geometric Gift Wallet and added some chipboard elements to make it more christmassy

supplies list :-

  • Papermania Geometric Gift Wallets
  • Scrapiniec Chipboard Snowflakes
  • Letter M Chipboard Alpha
  • Imagination Crafts Starlights Pain in White Gold
  • Glue

This is the reverse side of it… I do have a blog post and a you tube video on how to make these envelopes from scratch if you are interested in making some for yourself

I love how it turned out and i even stuck some of the unused snowflake arms that I chopped off the top right snowflake into the letter M to give it a bit of dimension

As always thank you so much for popping round and I will see you for Day 23 tomorrow

The Christmas Clay Vase

Hi Everyone..

Welcome to Day 11 of Blogmas!

Today I gave a clay vase that I bought a couple of years ago a bit of a festive makeover… it was looking a bit sorry for itself sitting up on the shelf in my shed.

So… I gave it a layer of Deco Art Media White Gesso, dried it with my heat gun, then gave it a lick of Captain Peacock fresco finish chalk acrylic paint from paperartsy…

I wrapped some twine around the middle, painted a balsa wood star with Deco Art Media fluid acrylic metallic gold paint and placed a few sprigs of glittery foliage into it and we are done 🙂

I love making my own home decor for Christmas, makes it that wee bit special knowing its homemade…

As always thanks for popping round and if you fancy joining me tomorrow, I will have another festive project for you.

Masculine Christmas Gift Box

Hello Everyone!

A warm welcome to Blogmas Day 10! .. gosh we are into double digits now 🙂 we have 14 more days left until Christmas Eve and of course the end of Blogmas!

Today I have a masculine gift box to share with you.. it started out as a plain brown hexagonal paper mache box…

mcgb1

I half started making this the other night when I made a christmas card and mixed up too much of the light green paint, and instead of wasting it, I painted the lid of this box.

Supplies List :-

  • 1 x paper mache box
  • Paperartsy Hyde Park Semi Opaque Green Paint
  • Deco Art Media Tinting Base .. when I mixed it with the Hyde park it gave me the colour on the lid.
  • First Edition Wild at Heart 6×6 patterned paper stack (I love this stack)
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Black Tartan Ribbon from Stampers Grove
  • 3 x Painted Pinecones from Hobbycraft (you get 6 in a bunch)
  • Hot glue gun to stick the pinecones down

Now that I am writing this blog post and looking at the picture I am wishing that I had edged all the paper panels and the edges of the lid with distress ink just to give it some definition..

As always, thank you for popping round and I will see you tomorrow for Day 11 🙂

Festive Tray

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Blogmas Day 9!

I made it ….. by the skin of my teeth with today’s project 🙂

I still have a few bits n bobs to add to this but it is almost there so thought I would share it as is..

I am at Stampers Grove tomorrow making festive trays with the lovely ladies and this is sample tray No. 2

festive-tray

These trays are perfect for filling with goodies (tea/coffee/biscuits or toiletries/perfume/makeup or even sit a dolly or a big teddy in the middle and wrap up in cellophane with a big bow on top..

I want to add some glittery snowflakes (using the Tim Holtz dies I used earlier in the week) along the outside edges just to finish this off but I will need to do that tomorrow morning.

I’m off to bed now as it is an early start for me in the morning, then I will see you all tomorrow evening for another blogmas project… I’m thinking it might be a gift box 😉

As always, I appreciate you coming round

Sarah 🙂

Tiny festive Notes

Hi Everyone!

I’m back 🙂  I had a horrid chest infection and the flu that wiped me out for 2 weeks, all better now though 😀

I was sitting at work on Friday looking at my tiny wee post it note pad on my desk and thought to myself, that would look good with a wee cover on it.. so I brought it home and gave it a makeover 🙂

This would be an ideal gift to leave on co-workers desks, I gave this one a masculine feel as you know what men are like about christmas its all bah humbug 😉 … you could always make a set of these and package them up all pretty and use as a stocking stuffer (I may do this next week and record a wee video just need to buy more post it’s)
