Gilded Christmas Ornaments

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Blogmas Day 3

I have had a super busy day today, my day  started off with a workshop at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh, followed by late lunch with the boys, a couple of hours housework and then I headed up the garden to my shed to make things 🙂

If you remember last week I featured Tags and Cards that were gilded with gilding flakes to make them look that wee bit special… well today I thought I would share some tree ornaments that I gilded too.

I took a paper mache reindeer and a glass clip on bird and turned them into lovely ornaments.. here are a couple of before and after pictures

Glass Clip on Bird (it’s hard to see against the background.. I tried a few but they all looked the same 🙂

I used Cosmic Shimmer Flake and Glitter Glue as my adhesive and also some gilding flakes Chocolate Box and Yorkshire Dales.

Welcome to day 5 of gilding flake Christmas week..

I have a lovely wee card to share with you today, clean and simple yet would look very pretty on the fireplace 🙂

• Daler & Rowney Watercolour Cardstock for the card base
• Visible Image Universal Stamp Set
• Gin & Tonic Flakes
• Cosmic Shimmer Flake and Glitter Glue
• First Edition Christmas Promise Patterned Paper
• Cut & Dry Foam from Ranger
• Mint Cream Sequins & Matte Medium to adhere to card base
• Double Sided Tape and Stampin up Dimensional Adhesive

I hope you liked today’s card, very easy to mass produce for sending out to friends, neighbours and relatives and easy to change it up in different colour ways

Wreath Tag

Welcome to day Four of Gilding Flake Christmas week..

I have another tag to share, using a large chipboard alpha letter which can personalise your tags using the initial of the recipient..

Seasons Greetings Gilded Gift Tag

Christmas Tag

Hi Everyone!

Day 1 of gilding flake week and we are starting off with a cute tag.

Supplies List :-

• Craft Cardstock Tag homemade measuring 3.5″ x 6″
• various different widths of double sided tape I used 1/8th” 1/4″ and  1/2″
• Gilding flake in Royal Peacock
• Cosmic Shimmer Flake and Glitter Glue 
• Tim Holtz Crazy Talk Stamp Set CMS236
• Twine
• Tando Creative Tiny Stars

This tag is versatile and lends itself to being suitable for all ages and gender

The Wee Wooden Tray

Hi everyone!

Something different from cards to share today… I altered a wee wooden tray for an upcoming workshop.. this is the before picture 🙂

If you would like to decorate one with me I will be at Stampers Grove on Saturday 10th December from 11am till 1pm.   they are perfect for that last minute Christmas gift, you can paint/embelish , then fill them with a whole host of festive goodies, wrap up in cellophane and you have a perfect tailor made christmas gift!

Here is the one I made today, this would be perfect filled with fruit teabags, coffee, and homemade shortbread biscuits..

There are a lot of different things incorporated in this tray, I gilded the edges in gold leaf, Stamped and heat embossed the sides with embossing powder and lined the inside and sides with a gorgeous patterned paper.. the handles are bound in gorgeous twine

I also took a picture outside, it is amazing how lighter it looks in natural lighting 🙂
