If you would like to decorate one with me I will be at Stampers Grove on Saturday 10th December from 11am till 1pm. Β  they are perfect for that last minute Christmas gift, you can paint/embelish , then fill them with a whole host of festive goodies, wrap up in cellophane and you have a perfect tailor made christmas gift!

Here is the one I made today, this would be perfect filled with fruit teabags, coffee, and homemade shortbread biscuits..

There are a lot of different things incorporated in this tray, I gilded the edges in gold leaf, Stamped and heat embossed the sides with embossing powder and lined the inside and sides with a gorgeous patterned paper.. the handles are bound in gorgeous twine

tray-2

I also took a picture outside, it is amazing how lighter it looks in natural lighting πŸ™‚

Hi everyone…

I nearly missed making a card tonight…

It was such a lovely evening, after dinner we took the dogs out on a huge big walk and didn’t get home till after 9pm..

So tonight’s card is another quickie.. using one of the star embelishments that I made last week πŸ™‚ I have to say they are coming in handy! Β I know I have only made 2 lots of embelishments and I need to make some more to build up a wee stock.. this week hopefully.

Sometimes we need to sit down and just breathe, and this was my inspiration for tonight’s card. Β We lead such a busy life these days that we sometimes forget to sit down for 5 minutes and relax

Make Your Own .. Day 1

Hi there and a warm welcome to you all..

Can you believe it has been 3 weeks today since I challenged myself to make something every day for a year without buying any new crafty things (except adhesives)

I have to say it is fun and also a challenge!

Starting today I have the Make your Own series… my thoughts behind it were to create my own embelishments to give me a box of go to things that I can use on cards and things..

So today for Day 1 we have Make Your Own Shabby Chic Primitive Stars πŸ™‚ I also have a tutorial video on my youtube channel.. just click on the video below to watch

Primitive Stars

They were so much fun to make, I think this series is going to be so much fun in the making!

I used various different sparklies for the edges..all shown and listed below πŸ™‚
