Christmas with Colourcraft Workshop

Hi Everyone!

Hello and welcome… can you believe it has been almost a month since my last blog post!..

I wanted to share the lovely creations from the Christmas with Colourcraft workshop held yesterday at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh…

We had a fun day learning all about Colourcraft products and the fun things we can do with them… this is the sample I made for the workshop

We worked with the Aztec Lustre and metallic paints, Acrylic Sprays Mists and Shimmer Mists, Tyvek, Lutradur 70, Soft Form Relief Paste, Expandit and Brusho Crystal Colours..

Once we had finished having a good old experiment and play with the products we gathered everything that we had made throughout the day and brought it all together to make a christmas hanging collage…

I absolutely love how every single one is different and such great pieces made by everyone.. well done ladies your work is wonderful 🙂

I am sure you will agree they are all wonderful !

The new workshop dates have been released  for Stampers Grove YAY!..

Envelope Photo Wallet

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday’s workshop at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh was fun and a good time was had by all making their Photo Wallets.

I made one along with all the lovely ladies who came to the workshop.. it was a lovely surprise to see Helen again, my crafty friend from Kelso.    I met Helen when I used to demo crafty stuff at the garden centre down there and she now comes all the way up to Edinburgh to Stampers Grove workshops 🙂

Our photo wallets were constructed from envelopes and we used a variety of mediums, including Brusho Crystal Colours  to achieve our finished projects

I love how it turned out… as always, thank you for popping in and I will see you soon with more crafty projects

Mixed Media Photo Wallet

Hi Everyone!

Button hole book binding

Hi everyone…

I have a couple of cute little handmade books to share with you…. I attended a workshop at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh this afternoon on button hole book binding with Cass Barron and it was such a fab workshop, if you ever get a chance to take a class with Cass jump at the chance as you will not be disappointed here is a link to her Facebook Page 😊

We finished our first books with some spare time left over so we got to start making another book, which I completed once I got home

I plan to make another couple tomorrow … they are so much fun to make..

Tiny Milk Carton Easter Treat Holders

Hi Everyone!

I have moved back into my shed today YAY!..

I had problems with moisture in one of the sockets, so I had to wait for a couple of dry days to dry my shed out and today the sockets finally worked without tripping the house lol..

So the heaters have been on all day full blast… so while I was up there I had a good old tidy up and sort out, and it feels good to have a clean work space again..

Today’s wee project is tiny milk cartons that hold tiny chocolate easter eggs.. these are cute, and they are also for an upcoming workshop at Stampers Grove, on April 1st, I’ll leave the details at the bottom of this post if you fancy joining us..

I also made some from my jelly print papers too

There will be a couple more projects to make at the workshop, and I am working on these at the moment 😉

5 x 7 Mini Album

Hi Everyone!..

I have a mini album to share with you today, i made this for an upcoming workshop at Stampers Grove which takes place next Saturday 25th February..

So if you fancy joining us for a few hours, I will leave the booking details at the bottom of this post.

I have literally just finished making this and I have not had a chance to decorate the front cover yet.. it is hot off the press 😉

I think i am going to start making another one tomorrow.. they are time consuming but very rewarding and  lot of fun if you like methodical crafting

It has a magnetic strip closure, and it works really well considering the volume of content in the mini book

I love this old paper line called Sycamore Street from stampin up…

Would I have done anything different when creating this… yes, I think I will ink the edges next time 😉

Envelope Books

Hi Everyone!

This weekend I have been making mostly …. Envelope Books 🙂

They are samples for a workshop at Stampers Grove this Saturday 11th February from 10.30 till 12.30..

This is a great way to use up your envelops stash and as you can see they look great in all shapes and sizes 🙂

Its also a great way for you to use up your jelly plate prints

and also use up all those patterned papers we hoard 😉

and practice zentangle (which I suck at lol)

Do what you love and love what you do.

Hi Everyone,

Tonight I made a start with book number two, I was late getting up to my shed, after 9pm but i managed to get the book finished 🙂

I used Diamond Starlight paint on tonight’s book along with tissue tape, fibres, and a wooden heart, if you missed last night’s blog post you can catch up here as these wee books are for a workshop at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh.

I love how shimmery these starlight paints are!

I love the mixed fibres and think they look nice against the shimmery background of the book cover..
